Sean Penn Defends Hugo Chavez from his critics! It seems that Sean Penn is upset that people are making fun of his little buddy Hugo Chavez. [link] Penn actually thinks people should go to jail for criticizing this nut; hell, this even made Mahr uncomfortable.

Like a good pal that he is, Hugo Chavez was sure to thank his buddy, Sean Penn, for defending him. [link]

I'm sure that when you're an actor, and get paid well for pretending to be someone else, that it gives one a superior world-view. It allows them to meet with dictators and see the complete truth. For example, in the first clip (above), Penn mentions that Chavez has been through "14 of the most scrutinized elections". By whose criteria?

Penn is apparently immune to American presidents and other leaders being "demonized" (his words) by people like Hugo Chavez (remember the UN speech where he followed Bush?). When the shoe is on the other foot, well Penn thinks that the First Amendment should not apply.

Sean Penn is a first-class idiot. Let's just hope that when the Venezuelan people rise up and depose Chavez that Sean Penn is there in Caracas, preferably in the presidential palace.

In this photo manipulation, I show Hugo and Penn having some quiet time together. There's nothing wrong with this life-style, I'm just glad that these two sensitive, misunderstood, narcissists can find friendship.

Maybe Penn can get Chavez to come to Broadway and star with him in a remake of "The Odd Couple".
